The conference will take place at the Al Bandar and Al Husn Hotels within the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa complex. The complex is approximately 45-60 minutes by car from Muscat Airport.

Attendees are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Citizens of many nations (including but not limited to: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, U.K., and the U.S.A.) are able to enter Oman and obtain a visa upon arrival for a nominal fee, without any preparations.

How does the visa upon arrival service work? 
If you hold an eligible passport, upon arrival at Muscat Airport, please queue at the Travelex Desk to obtain your visa. After this, proceed through Immigration before going on to Baggage Reclaim.

Meet and Greet
If you would like assistance at Muscat Airport upon arrival, Plaza Network offers a meet and greet service. This includes access to a lounge while a Plaza Network agent obtains a visa upon arrival for you. The agent will then escort you through immigration and baggage reclaim. By Car

Car transfers can be arranged from Abu Dhabi and Dubai Airports to the Shangri-La (both journeys approximately five hours).

Within Muscat, taxis are inexpensive, though you may wish to consider booking private cars and drivers through the Shangri-La.

Car hire (for driving in Oman only) can also be arranged through the Shangri-La – the Avis car hire company will deliver and collect vehicles.

Muscat is served by one airport – Muscat International Airport (MCT).
The airport is approximately 50Km from the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa (45 minutes by car).

Direct flights to Muscat are available from Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Bangkok, Beirut, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Frankfurt, Guangzhou, Istanbul, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, London, Manila, Milan, Mumbai, Munich, Paris, Singapore, Zurich and many other major international cities.

Travellers from North and South America are able to reach Muscat by connecting via Europe or via Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai.

Travellers from the Far East are able to reach Muscat by connecting via Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Doha and Dubai.

There are over 30 flights each day between Muscat and Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dubai (average duration 80 minutes).

The national airline of Oman is Oman Air, which has a 4-Star Skytrax rating.
